The Short Version

MultiPirates is a free browser MMORPG. We collect basic analytics to understand how people play. We don't sell your data, we don't track you across websites, and we don't require a password account to start (play uses anonymous session auth for the shared server clock and optional cloud mirror). Progress lives primarily in your browser; the cloud is a mirror when signed in.

What We Collect

We use Google Analytics to collect:

  • Page views and time spent on pages
  • Button clicks and navigation patterns
  • Device type (desktop/mobile) and browser
  • Approximate location (country/region level)
  • Game events: sessions started, boards viewed, play clicks, coarse progression signals

This data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from Analytics alone.

What We Don't Collect

  • Your real name, email, or contact information (no classic signup form)
  • Precise location
  • Your browsing history outside our site
  • Payment data — there is no pay-to-win store

Local Storage & cloud mirror

Your game progress is saved in your browser's localStorage (pilot, galaxy, inventory, story). When online, a cloud mirror may sync progress for resume across devices. Clearing browser data deletes the local save; cloud recovery depends on the same anonymous session.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics: We use GA4 for website and game analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to their data collection. Learn more

Firebase Hosting: The game is hosted on Google Firebase. Standard web server logs may be collected by Google.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish users and sessions. These are first-party cookies set by our domain. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Use browser privacy/incognito mode to avoid analytics
  • Install browser extensions to block Google Analytics
  • Clear localStorage to delete your game save
  • Request data deletion by contacting us

Children's Privacy

MultiPirates does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The game contains no account creation, chat, or social features that would collect personal information.

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
